Innovative Multidisciplinary Programming Across the District

CulturalDC’s Mobile Arts Program breaks down the barriers to art often found in traditional presenting venues. We offer the ideal space for nationally and regionally prominent artists to engage with audiences in new, exciting ways.

Mobile Art Gallery

The District’s first moveable gallery. In 2017, we converted a 40ft. shipping container into an immersive artspace for multidisciplinary artists. We have presented installations artists in all eight wards of Washington, DC.

Space Activation

We regularly partner with commercial real estate developers to activate vacant retail spaces with exciting visual and performance art. In addition, we find new ways to use other cultural and outside spaces.

Source Theatre

In the heart of 14th and U St. Corridors, the space is intimate, flexible, and affordable. With a 150-seat black box, Source is the perfect venue for performing and performance arts, film screenings, projections, and more.
