Executive Director and Curator: Kristi Maiselman (she/her)

Kristi Maiselman is the Executive Director and Curator of CulturalDC. Since her appointment in October 2018, Maiselman has facilitated projects like Ivanka Vacuuming by Jennifer Rubell, Mighty, Mighty by Devan Shimoyama, and THIS IS NOT A DRILL by Jefferson Pinder. In addition to her curatorial work, Maiselman oversees CulturalDC’s artspace development work which creates partnerships between arts organizations and commercial real estate developers in order to ensure affordable artist housing, studio space, and public art opportunities. Maiselman has been featured in the Washington Business Journal, WUSA9 and the Washington City Paper for her arts leadership. Kristi joined the CulturalDC team in June 2015 as part of the development team. She brings nearly 20 years of experience in nonprofit and for-profit arts organizations including the Corcoran College of Art and Design, Rubell Family Collection, Conner Smith, Hamiltonian Artists and the National Gallery of Art. Maiselman received her BFA in Photography from James Madison University and her MA in Arts Management from American University.

Director of Operations: Crystal Hart (she/her)

Crystal joined CulturalDC in January 2020. Crystal manages the operations for CulturalDC including its Source Theatre and Mobile Arts Programming . In her role, she also manages human resources for the organization. Crystal brings over 20 years’ experience in high-end luxury retail operations. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Merchandising and a minor in Art History from Marymount University in Arlington, VA.

Director of Development and Communications: Quincy Jones (he/him)

Quincy joined CulturalDC in February 2022 to support marketing efforts and event planning. Quincy brings over 20 years’ experience in high-end luxury retail , marketing and event planning. He was instrumental in executing this year’s wildly successful Anti-Gala! He has a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Fashion Merchandising from Marymount University in Arlington, VA.

 
 

Assistant Director of Creative Marketing, Communications, and Programs: Addie Moore (she/her)

Addie Moore joined the CulturalDC team in August 2022 as the Marketing and Communications Coordinator. Addie is an interdisciplinary artist and illustrator from Texas living in Washington, DC. Most recently, Addie worked as a public school art educator for five years in DC and Tyler, Texas. Before moving to DC, she founded etx creatives, a community organization promoting creative work in East Texas. She was a University of Texas Bill Archer Fellow and a Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery Youth and Family Programs Intern in 2015. Addie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History with a minor in Studio Arts from the University of Texas at Tyler.

Accountant: Thomas Posey (he/him) of Matthews Business Associate Services

With over 17 years of accounting experience in the nonprofit arena, Thomas has worked in the Washington D.C. metro area in various well known nonprofits such as The SEED Public Charter School of DC, Defenders of Wildlife, Bread for the World, American Council on Education, Citizens for a Sound Economy and The American Association of University Women. As a native Washingtonian, Thomas has witnessed the importance and the need for successful businesses within  the communities they serve. That is why he continues to align his business and accounting knowledge with nonprofits, small businesses and entrepreneurs. He has a B.S. in accounting from St. Augustine’s University and is a scholar of the Diversity Executive Leadership Program (DELP) sponsored by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).

Creative Director of Torrents: Jamal Gray (he/him)

Jamal Gray, a native Washingtonian, joined the CulturalDC team in January 2022. He is a musician, organizer, and curator. Most recently he served as the General Manager at DC Arts Center and as the Artist and Community Liaison at Meow Wolf. In 2017 he founded the Uptown Art House, a creative incubator for progressive Artists and Activists, where he served as Co-Director. As leader of avant garde jazz troupe Nag Champa Art ensemble, the D.C. native has used his ingenuity to bridge the gap between the city's underground art and music scenes. Gray has used his unique conceptual perspective when transforming recognized venues such as The John F. Kennedy Center For The Performing Arts, Smithsonian American Art Museum and Capital Fringe, down to unconventional spaces such as warehouses and open lots.
