Avery excels in public policy, product development and strategic partnership roles in environments where forced to think quickly, act decisively and rewarded for creativity. This includes his success in roles at the world's largest business organization, North America's largest motorist organization, on Capitol Hill and in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.

Currently Avery serves as the Executive Director for the Coalition for Reimagined Mobility (ReMo) as well as Senior Vice President for Government Affairs and Special Projects at SAFE. In this capacity Avery oversees all aspects of ReMo’s strategy and operations as well as leading SAFE’s engagement with Congress, the White House and Federal Agencies.

Prior to joining SAFE Avery served as Head of Global Public Policy and Safety Product Development at INRIX, the global leader in connected car services and intelligent movement. In this role he versaw the company’s global public policy and government relations efforts, as well as managing the development of road safety, automated vehicle and new mobility products; advising the CEO and Board on strategic partnership decisions; and managing the company’s public engagement from Washington, D.C. Avery provided critical thought leadership to INRIX as it related to investments supporting automated vehicle technologies, industry standards and government policies, and established a multitude of key strategic partnerships for the company.

Avery has served on the executive working group of the World Economic Forum's initiative on the Future of Urban and Autonomous Mobility, co-chairs the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Technology Engagement Center's workgroup on autonomous vehicles, and sits on the board of directors at CulturalDC making local space for art In Washington D.C. Avery has previously served on the Board of Directors for the Electric Drive Transportation Association, the C3 Group’s Connected Car Council and Board of Advisors for the Fuels Institute. He is a frequent speaker and recognized expert on issues surrounding automated, connected, and electric vehicles and urban mobility.
