Amanda Lee Barber Operations Associate Amanda Lee Barber joined the Cultural Development Corporation in September 2008 as the Operations Associate. She is responsible for coordinating the day to day operations at Flashpoint and Source including general facilities support, managing vendor relationships, and booking the venue calendars. Amanda also serves as the point of contact for rental inquiries. Prior work experience includes interning in Production Management at the Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC). While at STC, Amanda contributed to the ground breaking 2007-2008 Season with the opening of the Harman Center for the Arts. Amanda also has additional experience as the Production Management Intern at La Jolla Playhouse (LJP) in her hometown of San Diego, CA. Her favorite moment of the internship involved finding a dog to play the part of "Toto" for LJP’s updated version of The Wiz directed by the Tony Award™ winning Des McAnuff. Amanda earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tulsa, Oklahoma in Arts Management with a double minor in Musical Theatre and Business. While attending TU, she spent a semester studying at Goldsmith’s College in London and received an Honorable Mention for Stage Management at the American College Theatre Festival (ACTF) Region VI for her work on Julius Caesar. Currently, Amanda can be seen performing (but mainly rehearsing) with her improv troupe Twitter Pagan. |
